It is not uncommon for patients to experience anxiety while undergoing a dental procedure or to have an extreme sensitivity to dental treatment. We always want to make our patients feel comfortable during their appointments and feel that they never need to postpone or ignore the care that they need. This is why we’re happy to offer both oral conscious sedation and nitrous oxide sedation to help our anxious or sensitive patients reach a state of relaxation during their visits.
If you find yourself feeling exhausted even after a full night's rest, you may be suffering from sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is the brief interruption of sleep hundreds of times over the course of the night, triggered by obstructions in the airway. We offer at-home sleep studies that can help us determine whether you are experiencing sleep apnea or not. We also offer treatments that can help patients achieve the rest they need, and we can refer patients with severe sleep apnea to specialists.
Digital -rays offer many valuable benefits when compared to the use of traditional film. For instance, our team no longer needs to spend time developing your x-rays in a darkroom using hazardous chemicals – the high-resolution images are visible in seconds, and Dr. Kelly can even magnify, rotate, and color-code them in order to help patients better understand what they’re seeing. These files can also be transferred and stored digitally for maximum convenience, and the amount of radiation exposure is significantly reduced by up to 90% as well.
The E4D CAD/CAM system allows Dr. Kelly to provide same-day dentistry for many procedures that normally take two visits. Your new crown or veneer can be fabricated on the spot, and your dental work is completed before you leave. The process is fast, comfortable, and highly precise.
Intraoral cameras come in the form of a small wand that fits inside the mouth and captures high-resolution images. Our team can transfer this feed to a conveniently placed monitor in the treatment room so that you’re are able to see your teeth and gums up on the big screen! By doing so, we can both improve our team’s understanding of your oral health and provide a valuable education opportunity for patients.
Although two-dimensional x-rays are a powerful diagnostic tool, they do have certain limits in regards to surgical procedures like dental implant placement. Thankfully, our revolutionary cone beam scanner can capture a panoramic, three-dimensional x-ray that reveals every detail of not only your smile, but the jaw, the skull, and even the specific locations of certain facial nerves. By having all of this valuable information at our disposal, we can ensure an exceptionally high level of accuracy when planning in-depth treatment.
