The medical community quite often treats headaches with medication and life style changes which is beneficial but may not identify the root cause.  Many dental practitioners are not specifically trained in the treatment and understanding of the TMJ complex and therefore many patients fall through the cracks and don’t know where to go to receive a diagnosis and appropriate treatment.  The relief of headaches and associated neck, shoulder and facial pain may be related to your teeth and the lower jaw.  All of these structure are associated with the TMJ’s (your jaw joint), if not working ideally muscle tension and pain may be result.
