Dental Technology
Going to the dentist can be anxiety-inducing for some people, but we make dental care easy, comfortable, and effective.
Using the latest developments in the field of dentistry, your checkups and procedures can be easier than ever.
Timothy M. Kelly, DMD, PA, in Albuquerque, NM, uses dental technology for superior patient experiences and outcomes.
Our Dental Technology

Digital X-Rays
Our Albuquerque dentist uses digital X-rays to view the teeth and jawbones. This allows us to detect abnormalities and plan treatment for oral diseases and conditions. Digital X-rays are fast and efficient while exposing patients to less radiation than traditional X-rays. Routine X-rays help your dentist detect problems early so your treatment can be more conservative.

Cone-Beam Computed Tomography
CBCT scans are an advanced type of X-ray technology that takes up to 200 3D images of your teeth, mouth, jaw, and more from different angles in just minutes. This technology is often used in implant dentistry because the digital scans provide accurate measurements of a patient's jaw, allowing our dentist to choose the correct implant size, maximize the available jawbone, and reduce the risk of misaligned implants. CBCT is also used to diagnose and treat TMD.

iTero Intraoral Scanner
This 3D imaging technology helps take accurate impressions of your teeth and gums to detect abnormalities and plan restorative work like crowns, dentures, and dental implant placement. The digital scans are fast and accurate, lending to a more comfortable experience in the dental chair.

E4D System
This CAD/CAM system designs and creates crowns, bridges, and porcelain veneers in a single appointment, saving patients time and money. We can deliver a custom crown, bridge, or veneer that's comfortable, durable, and color-matched to your teeth. With this tool, you'll have no need for a temporary restoration, a second appointment, or a wait time of two to three weeks. This system also gives Dr. Kelly complete control over the final product, improving patient outcomes.

Home Sleep Study Technology
Do you struggle with fatigue, trouble concentrating, or mood swings? You might have sleep apnea. Our dentistry practice can help screen for this common sleep disorder with an at-home sleep study test. The device is worn at night in your normal sleep environment. It measures oxygen levels, breathing, and breathing effort. Once it is collected, the data is analyzed by sleep specialists who may recommend a sleep study and in some cases, an oral appliance.
